Your awareness and observations of your environments are important for the safety and security of everyone. If you think it is suspicious, it is.
Report and send photos/videos of suspicious incidents, persons, or vehicles.
Trust Your Instincts
If you see something or hear something that you think is suspicious or not normal for your environment, take a photo/video of the person or vehicle with your mobile device and report it via Eagle Eyes Navy. You can also screenshot suspicious emails or internet postings and attach the screenshots to an Eagle Eyes Navy report.
Examples of Reports That Have Saved Lives
- A citizen waiting for a subway train observed several individuals taking video of tracks and security cameras throughout a rail station. The citizen took a photo of the individuals and reported the behavior via a system similar to Eagle Eyes Navy. Law enforcement connected that report to other "dots" and prevented an attack.
- A citizen observed an individual in a vehicle staring at and taking pictures of children washing cars for a school fundraiser. The citizen took photos of the individual and reported the behavior via a system similar to Eagle Eyes Navy. Investigators determined the individual was a convicted child predator and he was arrested for violating his terms of parole.
- A civilian employee on a US military installation observed an individual photographing military aircraft on the installation "airside". The civilian took photos of the individual and reported the behavior via a system similar to Eagle Eyes Navy. Law enforcement connected that report to other "dots" and investigators determined the individual was likely a foreign intelligence asset.
